Dreams & Visions
[caption id="attachment_117" align="alignleft" width="301" caption="Buy online at CDBaby.com"][/caption] On her fourth album, Dreams & Visions, Mary-Kathryn blends elements of soft pop, rock and folk with world music influences as diverse as the continents to create a spiritual amalgam that transcends musical boundaries. Sophisticated without being elitist; understated without being simplistic, Mary-Kathryn displays an emotional depth that can only be described as remarkable. The album features appearances by Hugh Marsh on Violin and Fergus Marsh on Chapman Stick & Bass, Tony Morra on Drums & Percussion, the Finnish vocal group Fire 4U, co-produced by Paul Buono and Mary-Kathryn and mixed by Tony Palacios ...
About
Mary-Kathryn feels like she is a “musical missionary,” and describes her musical style as world fusion music with pop sensibilities. She incorporates sounds and instruments from other nations. Her music is birthed from her worship to God, and she feels like this is part of the message that God wants her to share. She’s always felt God has given her a freedom and told her not to withhold anything in worship. People are intrigued by her worship style, which inspires more people to be free to worship. She feels her call is to be a psalmist; her music is for healing ...
One Spirit
[caption id="attachment_110" align="alignleft" width="294" caption="Buy online at CDBaby.com"][/caption] It is more than the title of Mary-Kathryn's album. It is her calling, her mission, her passion. "We are called by One Spirit," she says. "One Holy Spirit. We serve One Lord. We are One Body. We must come together in unity under the headship of Christ, for we are much more powerful together than when we are divided." The songs of One Spirit were birthed out of a mission calling to the Body of Christ. It is a means of encouraging the members of the body to stir up their gifts and callings, to ...
The Sound of Thunder School

Singing and teaching at Thunder School last Friday was one of the great highlights of my year, and has been now for three years in a row. What an amazingly gifted and talented group of young people who are utterly committed to the call of God on their lives. They come from all over the country (and the world) to live, learn, and experience ministry for three solid months. They are musicians, artists, writers, dancers and missionaries who are finding out what it means to lay down their own lives for the lives of others.
What has made being asked to share my ministry and teaching with the Thunder School students each year so great is that what they are learning about, and just beginning to experience, are the very things that I have learned and experienced over my 15 years of music ministry. And with “experience being the great teacher”, mine has given me the ability to share with them from what I’ve learned and walked through myself – like: mission field work, prison ministry, music ministry, music production, and tour production and coordination.
The name Thunder School comes from the reference in Mark 3:13-19 where it says: “And He (Jesus) went up on the mountain and called to Him those He Himself wanted. And they came to Him. Then He appointed twelve, that they might be with Him and that He might send them out to preach, and to have power to heal sicknesses and to cast out demons: Simon, to whom He gave the name Peter; James the son of Zebedee and John the brother of James, to whom He gave the name Boanerges, that is, ‘Sons of Thunder’; Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus, Simon the Cananite; and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed Him.”
Some speculate that Jesus nicknamed James and John the Sons of Thunder because of their boldness and enthusiasm for serving Him. Following Jesus’ example, the Thunder School invites young disciples to come and learn how to boldly serve God with the creative gifts and talents that they have been given.

Sounds like you had a great time. Keep up the good work!
Hi! I was one of the Thunder School students when you first came to TS in the fall of 2007. That was the first “thunder school” and i remember when you came! It was awesome. Glad to hear that you are still teaching and training the students there. Thanks for taking the time to invest in people like me! It makes a difference! Since i left Thunder School i am now touring for a CCM group called FFH (www.FFH.net) where i get to put into practice a lot of the things i learned at Thunder School every day. Thanks again for taking time to invest into our lives! I really appreciate it! God bless.
